LFD offers fire prevention classes to any school or preschool in our area, these classes take place typically every October. We love taking the time to teach the younger generations about fire preventions and how to respond calmly and appropriately.
LFD also conducts yearly fire pre-plans for our industrial facilities within coverage. These pre-plans are necessary to facilitate our response to large scale fires should they occur.

The LFD operates an EMS department, but only in a Basic Life Support capacity. We do not operate any ambulances or transport units at this time. We are serviced by both ground and air services from the area for all transport needs.
all report requests need to be filed with town hall by calling 205-893-5250. If it is a medical call, the report cannot be released without a subpoena.
No, we do bill the insurance company for our expenses, but no expense will come to the victim.
